If you're trying to play just Ocarina of Time and have a powerful enough computer, you may actually have a better time emulating it with the Zelda: Collector's Edition in Dolphin. Have you guys been able to run Project64 on Win 8/Win10? Do you know of any other emulator that runs on these systems? Preferably with configurable controller plug-ins. Project 64 was always the de facto emulator for me. I tried with the other emulator 1964, it loaded the ROMS but was supper buggy, not usable at all.

I am bummed down because I used to play a lot when I had Win XP until I has Win 7 with no problem whatsoever. I tried running it in compatibility mode with every option (Win 7, Win XP, Vista) and still didn't work. I tried with the 2.2 version and also with the trusty 1.6 version as the old days, but to no avail. But to my dismay, when I try to open any ROM it crashes and shows the message "Project 64 has stopped working". It's been a long while, so I decided to do a replay of Ocarina of Time so I downloaded Project64 as I always did back in the days of Windows XP through Windows 7.
